As an occupational health nurse who also has this in the family I agree totally and completely.

In my practice I see long delays to actually be seen and even worse the time it takes to be diagnosed. It would seem that without a whole range of positive diagnostic tests nothing happens. Individuals are suffering with symptoms deteriorating and when some form of treatment does start it’s often the oldest most basic out there.

At least in the UK this needs to be addressed urgently.
